Service was sometimes slow, clunky and unprofessional in some cases. If this is what you are looking for be careful. I was surprised to see a few low ratings but it seems we are one of them.įirst off we were seated outside, not under the lemon trees, even after booking weeks in advance. Maybe we were unlucky, but especially considering the price (even against Sorrento standards) I don't think it's worth it. In short I don't think it is worth the hype. We arrived with a child and wanted to ask her gluten free pasta with tomato sauce, took us 30 minutes to get the waiter! Seriously 30 minutes!!!! I don’t know how much longer we would have to wait if I were not to nudge them.īeing on so many successfull restaurants I am not sure how and why this restaurant got a high star rating. No body approached to apologize for the delays. No body asked us even once if our food was OK. Maybe they were understaffed, but this isn’t the customers problem. And absolutely not OK if you charge these prices. OK if you are in a touristic restaurant not OK if you are in Michelin guide featured restaurant. Pork belly although looked amazing on the plate it was tasteless and tough as my leather shoe soles and the pastry for desert was partially frozen and wasn’t fresh!!! Half of our tasting menu was delicious and the other half had poor preparation. The service was below any standard upscale restaurant. The decor is really special, might worth a visit by it self. Very mixed feelings about this restaurant. All in all a good experience.įor 175 Euro for 2 i would expect much more. They were friendly and efficient and the place was really well run. ![]() It's more common in very high end places. I know these seem pretty basic but I have to say this is very rare for restaurants like this in Italy. They checked on us several times through our meal. and the food came out in the correct order very quickly, piping hot. They took our drink order quickly, water and wine were served. ![]() The service - they sat us immediately as I mentioned. This was more the kind I like on a pizza. I would say the tomatoes were outstanding but the mozzarella was a little rubbery, not the kind I typically like with my caprese. I would say I would have rather had more fish or more prawn than the cuttlefish/squid for 20 euros but it was all fresh at least. But they were a little over cooked and would have been better pulled off the grill a little sooner. The cuttle fish flavor was good with that slightly charred taste that I love from the grill. The seafood grill also came with one prawn and two large pieces of cuttlefish. The fish on the seafood grill was also so fresh and delicate. The spongy bread that is served at the table was perfect to stop up every last little drop. The mussels were definitely the highlight - plump juicy mussels swimming in a tomato based broth with tart cherry tomatoes mixed in. We ordered the caprese, the mussels in tomato sauce and the mixed seafood grill and a half liter of the house white wine. But everyone seems to want to sit in the front row on the water and we were happy to be seated immediately under the awning. We walked up without a reservation and for a Monday it was packed and a line waiting for tables. Really fresh seafood restaurant right on the waterfront with simple preparations.
